Glenys Hurst-Robson is a creative workforce and organisational development specialist with over 20 years’ experience in the design and delivery of learning experiences, evaluation and stakeholder engagement gained within the public, private and voluntary sectors.
As an experienced and qualified senior manager Glenys worked in local government in children and family services for 13 years in a variety of roles including Principal HR Officer for Schools, Governor and Workforce Development Manager, Children’s Workforce Strategy Manager and latterly Schools Partnership Development Manager.
In 2011 Glenys had responsibility for managing and delivering a large multi-agency children’s training programme for both the Local Children’s Safeguarding Board and the Children & Families Board in Knowsley which included Early Help and Safeguarding Children until she returned to work with schools in January 2015. She took up the post of Schools Partnership Development Manager, with responsibility for governor support before leaving in October 2016 to fulfil a personal goal of becoming an independent trainer and consultant. She is also an accredited and experienced Safer Recruitment trainer.
Glenys is passionate about volunteering and has run a voluntary women’s business network for 13 years, been a business advisor for Young Enterprise, is a primary school governor and a member of a Community Interest Company that champions the rights and voice of children and young people, specialising in engagement and mentoring programmes with children living in the care system.
When relaxing Glenys enjoys spending time with family and friends who are spread across the UK and has caught the ‘running bug’… well its more of a shuffle but its great fun!
