We are sad to announce that our Creative Training Manager Susannah Gilchrist is leaving her current full time position at The Athena Programme.
Susannah has been with Athena for the past two years having joined the company in May 2009 as Creative Facilitator. She has been instrumental in designing many of our bespoke training packages and has brought her own unique brand of innovation to the way we do business.
With her qualifications and expertise in Sociodrama and Action Methods, Susannah has brought fun and excitement to our training courses, and enabled a wide variety of organisations to deliver their own dynamic training by designing bespoke and interactive Train the Trainer packs.
As well as taking the lead in developing safeguarding children training, Susannah has written the content for our websites including case studies, news and articles, and is leaving us with lots of ideas on how to keep our customers informed of the latest developments in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
So what does the future hold for Susannah?
“Working at The Athena Programme has been a huge learning curve for me and has enabled me to further enhance my skills in the changing world of training. I have also gained new skills in marketing and website design and e-learning. I have been given lots of opportunities to try new things at Athena and am grateful to Sarah for her confidence and belief in my abilities.”
“I have had such fun working with such nice people. I’m not talking just about my colleagues at Athena but also the customers I have worked with over the past two years. I have built a special relationship with our regular customers and will genuinely miss seeing them! That’s why I have decided to stay with Athena as one of their Associates.
“Visiting my Dad in his residential home over the past few years has made me realise how crucial regular communication and stimulation is for vulnerable adults with dementia. Looking after Dad prompted me to create an exciting programme involving interactive entertainment for vulnerable adults. I want to devote more time to market and deliver this fantastic programme to residential homes.”
Sarah Goodall, Managing Director said “Susannah has helped make The Athena Programme grow and I am grateful for her commitment to our vision and continued success. She has been a vital member of our team for the past two years and her particular talent and skills will be missed. The whole team are really glad she has decided to stay on as one of our Associates, as I’m sure our customers will be too.”
