Meet the Team
Claire
Claire is an experienced safeguarding professional with over 14 years of leadership in education, including a long-standing role as a headteacher. With a deep commitment to child protection and welfare, Claire has developed a wealth of expertise in safeguarding, risk assessment, and multi-agency collaboration.
In her previous Designated Safeguarding Lead role, Claire successfully led safeguarding teams, managed complex cases, and worked closely with families, including those considered “harder to reach.” With an ability to build trust through professionalism, compassion, and a solution-focused approach, Claire played a pivotal role in ensuring positive outcomes for children and families.
Passionate about ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, Claire continues to work collaboratively with education professionals, providing guidance, training, and practical solutions to create safer environments for children and young people.
Claire delivers comprehensive DSL, governor, and whole-school training, and undertakes audits to ensure that safeguarding practices remain up to date and aligned with statutory guidance. With a strong background in case management and professional supervision, Claire supports school staff in developing emotional resilience and making informed decisions that prioritise child welfare. Experienced in risk management, handling allegations, and liaising with local safeguarding teams, Claire is adept at advising staff on challenging decisions to secure the best outcomes for children.
Away from work, Claire enjoys cooking, travelling and spending quality time with her family and friends. Two (very cute) dogs keep her active, as well as cycling locally with her husband.
