Kevin

Kevin is a Registered Social Worker with experience in statutory, public sector and voluntary sectors at all levels.  He has a range of skills and knowledge gained through case management that can be applied to wider management and leadership processes across social care.

He has successfully led organisations through change and transformation processes delivering improved outcomes. He has effectively prepared organisations through audit and quality reviews to prepare for inspections by the relevant regulatory bodies.  He has achieved measurable improvement in performance in organisations as demonstrated through Ofsted inspection results.

Kevin began his career in the probation service and was part of the team that developed treatment programmes in relation to sexual and violent behaviour.  He was a senior therapist in residential treatment settings for a number of years before developing his senior leadership career within national safeguarding organisations.  He has recent experience both as a national director working within the family justice system and within the voluntary sector.

Furthermore, Kevin has undertaken investigations into complex abuse and authored several serious case reviews.  He has experience of chairing boards and panels at national, regional and local level in relation to safeguarding, domestic abuse management and family justice systems. He also has experience in policy and programme development across the four nations and internationally.  He has a strong track record in supporting innovation and developing practice based on his own motivation and interest in moving professional practice forward.

Away from the professional world of safeguarding, Kevin spends his time in outdoor activities such as running and trying to surf and continues to try and get better at playing the bass guitar.
