Sarah
Doctor, Determination, Passion, Enthusiasm – Gives Sarah her safeguarding expertise.
As Managing Director and the founder of the company Sarah has an inspiring vision and commitment that drives the business and the safeguarding agenda reaching far and wide on the world map. She has had a fascinating career and her experience has taken her into a cross section of sectors including the voluntary, private and public organisations. During her remarkable international career before and during her time as Athena’s leader she has extensive knowledge and skills in quality assurance, safeguarding reviews, governance, strategic analysis, organisational improvement for safer cultures, training needs, development days and impact evaluation.

In addition she has a Master’s degree in Arts-Health, Social Work Degree and Diploma and has undertaken extensive training far too long to list!
Sarah is a tireless innovator for excellence in safeguarding children, young people and adults. Outcome driven and solution focussed, Sarah’s motivation is for the services provided by the company to inspire people to have a sense of ownership for safeguarding. Her purpose and driving force is to create safeguarding services and products which will cause a seed to be sown to create a deep sense of caring.
Continually progressive Sarah was instrumental in bringing the techniques of Socio-Drama and Action Methods to safeguarding training. A pioneer for the use of the creative arts, Sarah’s passion and reputation for making learning exciting and fun is widely recognised in this arena and beyond.
Mindfulness and meditation is part of Sarah’s daily life and the way in which she reaches out to others. Her ability to communicate with people on all levels is intuitive, compassionate and caring. She is a passionate person who is highly experienced and knowledgeable and enthusiastic expert in the field. She love’s running, sewing, art, dancing and of course shoes, bags and shopping.
Not forgetting she is also a mum, friend, daughter, sister, aunty, Ambassador for Target Ovarian Cancer and a fundraiser for Tic Toc (a community group set up by her mum before she passed away).
