Victoria
A keen eye for detail, professional pride and a drive to always deliver the highest standards for families and colleagues.
Victoria has supported children, young people and families in a variety of roles for almost twenty years. She is incredibly committed to safeguarding children and adults and is proud of the excellent track record she possesses.
With a background in teaching and training threading through her career, Victoria has focussed her work on young people and families affected by alcohol and drug use both in both the prison service and the community. Victoria gained an excellent national reputation in her field coordinating and developing an award winning service that supports children and their families in Greater Manchester. More recently, Victoria has returned to mobilise the service in Bolton and Trafford, as part of a new contract, and has led on quality assurance, with the service continuing to prosper and deliver exceptional results.
Victoria has worked in Organisational Development in the NHS, leading on resilience programmes and designing interventions to support staff through organisational change and service improvement. Whilst working with the NHS, Victoria fulfilled the role of Workforce Development Manager for Safeguarding, developing and delivering training for an NHS Trust.
Victoria is a highly sought after trainer, having delivered workshops, presentations and sessions at national and international conferences and parliamentary meetings. She has also written a book chapter on effective strategies for working with vulnerable children.
Victoria is a substance misuse and NLP practitioner, as well as a qualified teacher. She now runs her own therapeutic practice for families affected by drug and alcohol use. She has made an immense difference to the lives of countless young people and families due to her passionate commitment to whole family approaches, with a focus on the child’s voice being heard. Feedback on her sessions is always excellent, with regular comment on her warmth, humour and expertise.
Aside from her work, Victoria is family orientated and loves adventures with her young family and dog, Stanley.
