Domestic Abuse training Level 2 is a must for you if you work closely with families, children and / or adults at risk. Domestic Abuse can happen in any family and to any parents, siblings or other family members. When working with families you need to understand the impact domestic abuse has on victims and know what action to take to reduce to risk of repeated harm. Understanding that children who witness domestic abuse are victims in their own right and that repeated exposure to domestic abuse is significant harm and emotional abuse is a key feature of this training.
You will learn about the current safeguarding frameworks that exist to protect children and adults from abuse such as the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Framework (MARAC), and specific risk assessments to measure the likelihood of significant harm to children. Domestic Abuse is a common factor in child and vulnerable adult deaths and this course is designed to increase your awareness of the explicit risks to children and adults at risk.
