We specialise in bespoke safeguarding courses for Trustees of Charities registered across the UK with the Charity Commission or the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)
If you are a Trustee of a registered charity this course will allow you to examine, your Safeguarding statutory duties and reflect on the culture and compliance of your safeguarding practice and procedures.
Learning Outcomes:
- Brief overview of safeguarding – definitions, categories, signs, and symptoms of abuse
- Charities Commission and safeguarding standards
- Safeguarding Governance -statutory duties and responsibilities of Trustees – what risks should you be looking for?
- Awareness of Safeguarding policy and procedures (DSO role recording etc)
- Understanding and exploring the role and responsibilities of Trustees in terms of safeguarding and a safer culture
- Audit and review processes- what is safeguarding success?
- Action plan – responding to current gaps and changes in safeguarding risks

- How to work with, support and challenge your management team to ensure your charity is operating according to good safeguarding principles and practice
